Parker is a simple to use theme and with it’s branding features will give you a great and powerful options to customize colors and fonts so you can simply make your own style.
Also four different types of home page templates gives you opportunity to to be more unique.

SETUP

Just upload Parker.zip via theme uploaded on your wp-admin and you’re ready to go.
If you get any error after you installed the theme than this could happen:
1.Because you uploaded the theme as a Folder and you where using FTP Text Mode, use Binary Mode instead
2.Or delete the Theme folder and install .zip file which is in this package

For any unknown reasons there is trouble uploading and installing the theme, please contact Umbrella support team.

HOW TO CREATE MENU ?

This theme has 2 menus.

Those menus determent also how the logo should appear.

Menus can be found in appearance->menus

1. Create 2 menus.

2. Add items to menus

3. Go to manage locations

4. Select the two menus

If you need the logo to be in the right, you need to create only one menu and in manage location you need to supply only the second menu

If you need to logo to be on the left , you need to create only one menu and in manage location you need to supply only the first menu

HOW TO SET UP THE HOME PAGE ?

Go to pages and create a new page.
In the templates area there are 4 home page templates that you can choose from
Home Box and Home Slider, Home Fancy, Home Video

Home Box:

Choose the Home Box in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear.
If the fields don’t appear, you need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

First upload the featured image, the featured image would be the background image for the box slider.
Go to overlay tab and choose the overlay percentage and color for the featured image.
Go to the box slider tab, use add bucket to add a slide for the box slider.
When a new slide is opened you can add the url, title, content, image, color for each slide.

Go to the intro text
Add the Intro and slogan text

Home Slider:

Choose the Home Slider in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear.
If the fields don’t appear, you need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

Go to Full screen slider tab and the fields for the slider will appear
Autoplay – choose autoplay if you want the slider to change the slides automatic
Choose the slider effect (Slide, fade)
Use add slide item to add the slides
When slides are created you can add the image, overlay percentage, overlay color, content, content effect, read more button, read more button effect, read more button link.

Go to Footer content tab and the fields for the footer will appear
Disable Footer Content – Choose if you want to disable the “Latest blogs and About us”.
Add the Latest Blog Title
Add the Paragraph Title (About us)
Add the Paragraph Content

Home Fancy:

Choose the Home Fancy in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear.
If the fields don’t appear, you need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

Transparent – Choose if you want the header and footer to be transparent
Use add slider item to add slides.
When the slides are created than you can add the image, overlay percentage, overlay color, title, content, link

Home Video:

Choose the Home Video in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear.
If the fields don’t appear, you need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

Choose the Video Type (Youtube, Viemo, Self-hosted)

For Youtube and viemo you need to copy the id from the link

HOW TO SET UP ABOUT US PAGE ?

Go to pages and create a new page.
Choose the About Us in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear. If the fields don’t appear.
You need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

Go to Members tab
Use add member to add your staff
When a staff is created you can add the full name, position, description, image, social networks.

Go to Application Tab
Enable Application – Choose if you want to enable application
Add the application file
Add the application title
Add the application description
Choose the application icon

HOW TO SET UP ABOUT ME PAGE ?

Go to pages and create a new page.
Choose the About me in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear. If the fields don’t appear.
You need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

Add the featured image – The image should be a staff member
Add the description in the content area (WYSIWYG)
Add the name
Add the position

HOW TO SET UP BLOG PAGE ?

Go to pages and create a new page.
Choose the Blog in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear. If the fields don’t appear.
You need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

In the blog page you can select to display all categories, multiple categories or only one category.

HOW TO SET UP PROJECT PAGE ?

For projects there are 3 page templates (Small, Large, Landscape)
Go to pages and create a new page.
Choose the Project (Type) in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear. If the fields don’t appear.
You need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

In the Project page you can select to display all categories, multiple categories or only one category.

HOW TO SET UP CLIENT PAGE ?

Go to pages and create a new page.
Choose the Clients in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear. If the fields don’t appear.
You need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

Use add client to add your clients.
When the clients are created then you can add the logo, url, name, slogan

HOW TO SET UP CONTACT PAGE ?

Go to pages and create a new page.
Choose the Contact in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear. If the fields don’t appear.
You need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

Go to the Map tab
You can use the text field to write your location or just grab the marker in the map and place it to your location
Add the map zoom (0-19 zoom level)
Disable map – Choose if you want to disable the map

Go to Details tab
Add the title for your informations
Use add info and the fields for the paragraph will appear. After you click add info you have the ability to add the title and the content for that info.

Go to Contact form tab
Add the Email Receiver – If left blank the emails will go to the admin’s email
Add the Success Message – This text will appear when the message is sent
Add the Failed Message – This text will appear when the message was unable to be sent
Add the Contact Form Name
Add the Full Name Label
Add the Email Label
Add the Message Box Label
Add the Reset Button Label
Add the Submit Button Label

HOW TO SET UP SERVICE PAGE ?

Go to pages and create a new page.
Choose the Services in the templates area and the fields for that template will appear. If the fields don’t appear.
You need to click publish first and then when the page is refreshed the fields will show up.

Use Add a service to add your services.
When your services are created then you can add the service title, service description, and choose if you want to upload a logo for your service or choose an icon from font awesome.

HOW TO DISABLE/ENABLE SIDEBAR ?

To enable the sidebar just add some widgets to the main sidebar in Appearance->widgets
To disable the sidebar just remove the widgets from the main sidebar in Appearance->widgets

HOW TO SET THE HOME PAGE AS FRONT PAGE ?

Go to settings->readings and select “A static page” and select your the home page you have created.

HOW TO USE THE SHORT-CODE GENERATOR ?

In every content from wordpress created or custom content (WYSIWYG) you can use our short code generator.
If you want to add toggles, tabs, buttons, notifications just click on the icon in the content and the shortcode generator will appear.
Ex: If you want to create tabs, just click on the icon and when the shortcode generate appears click on “Add row” and the fields will appear. Fill those fields and when you are done just click on get shortcode.

HOW TO ADD POSTS ?

Go to Post in the admin area and create a new post.
Add the title and select the post format for it. You have standard, image, video and audio formats enabled with the Parker theme.
For each formats there are unique fields that will appear.

If you use standard format you just need to add the title, content and add the featured image for it.
If you use image format you need to add the title, content, featured image and also you need to add an extra email that will appear in the single of that post.
If you use audio format you need to add the title, content, featured image and also you need to choose the audio type (URL, Self-hosted) for the url you need to add the link to thet mp4 file and for self-hosted you need to add the mp4 file, and add the audio title.
If you use video format you need to add the title, content, featured image and also you need to choose the video type (Youtube, viemo, self-hosted). For Youtube and Vimeo you need to add the video ID and for self-hosted you need to upload the mp4 file.

Select a category for the post
You can also add tags for that post

HOW TO ADD PROJECTS ?

Go to Projects in the admin area and create a new project.

Add the title for that project
Add the content of that project
Add the featured image

Choose the layout (BOX, FULL)

If you choose full you will need to specify if you want the content to be opened or closed.

Add images to the projects gallery. Use add image to add images in the gallery (slider).
Add the preview title and link if you have an external link to that project.

Select a category for that project.

HOW TO GET THE PSD FILES ?

There are two options to get the psd files.

Go to http://themes.umbrella.al/psd/
And add the purchase key.

Or contact the umbrella support team and request the psd files.

HOW TO TRANSLATE THE THEME ?

First you need to know if you want to use multilingual or just in one language.

If you want to use the theme with multi languages the best choice would be wpml plugin
If you want to use just to translate the theme then you can use the po files.

To use the po files you need to use the poedit application and open the po file that is located in the lang folder.
After the translation done save the file and add define the translation in wp-config.php
It needs a line of code
define (‘WPLANG’, ‘um_lang’);
